Take a look at the Android market, Google Docs fans – Google has just issued a pretty nice update. The biggest change, by far, is the addition of real-time document collaboration that desktop users have been enjoying for quite some time. Alongisde that, we’ve got an improved editor, support for rich text formatting, layout tools and cursor presence to know where you and your collab buddies are in any given document. You’ll want to get this massive update right away so make no delay .

Upcoming Acer Iconia Tab Android 4.0 Updates Leak [A100, A500]

Those of you waiting for the official upgrade to Android 4.0 for both the Acer Iconia Tab A100 and Acer Iconia Tab A500 can cut the wait short with a little preview of what’s to come. Official builds have been leaked on XDA, and although there doesn’t appear to be any major issues, it’s worthy to note that this build may not be final. And it does break root. Google trackpad patent hints at Android for desktops

With Android 4.0, Google delivered a mobile operating system that was suited for all screen sizes. As we have already explored, you can almost replace your PC with an Android device, but there are still some things that Google needs to improve upon. Google could target the desktop computing experience with Android 5.0, according to the latest patents discovered by Jack Purcher of PatentlyApple . In the patent overview Google claims that their Android operating system has been designed for a touchscreen user interface and it may be beneficial to have it “implemented on more traditional devices, such as a desktop, netbook or laptop device that include physical keyboards and/or pointing devices, such as trackpad devices.” We agree 100 percent. HTC teases, “This Sunday you’ll discover something fast”

This weekend is the time that HTC fans have been waiting for. On Sunday in Barcelona, HTC will hold their press conference for Mobile World Congress and unveil their full lineup of 2012 devices. Today HTC posted an image of a generic phone with the number 5 and a message that read, “This Sunday you’ll discover something fast.” We think the number 5 could represent the 5-cores inside the Tegra 3 processor that powers the HTC One X , or it could simply be that we are 5 days away from the event. HTC says the show will begin at 8:30 PM Barcelona time, which is 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST in the United States. We don’t know if they are providing a live stream yet, but we will be sure to let you know if one is available. What surprises do you think HTC has in store?

T-Mobile’s Cliq 2 set to receive Gingerbread update, Motorola seeking testers

Since a leak back in the summer , we haven’t heard a whole lot about the Gingerbread update for the Motorola CLIQ 2 . Moto had had plenty of time to work out the kinks and a post to the manufacturer’s support forums indicates the new software is entering its final phases of testing. Testers are being sought to receive the OS upgrade for the T-Mobile handset early. This soak test, which will be limited to 1,000 users, is typically the last step before a wider rollout (provided no last minute bugs are detected). It could be any where from a few days to a few weeks before Motorola and T-Mobile push the update to all users, but if you want to throw your hat in for the testing round (if it isn’t already full) head over to the source link below. Yet another Verizon 4G LTE outage occuring

We’ve just received word that Verizon is experiencing yet another 4G LTE data outage in some areas. Service started taking a hit earlier this morning and has since been confirmed by Verizon support. Areas definitely seeing the effects of the outage include Arizona, Florida, and Georgia, though more regions are likely experiencing downtime. Verizon has gotten pretty good at turning these network issues around in a matter of hours, so the best we can do is hang tight for the time being. Rumor: Fujitsu to unveil quad-core ICS smartphone with 13.1 MP camera at the MWC

The countdown until the official start of the 2012 MWC is set to start and rumors, leaks and speculations of all sorts will most likely come our way up until the last minute before the Spanish event. One of the most exciting rumors of late points towards the unveiling of a monster of a smartphone running Android Ice Cream Sandwich and featuring among others a quad-core processor and a 13.1 megapixel camera. The manufacturer behind the making of such a beast is Fujitsu, according to the guys at unwiredview.com , but for the time being, as we have nothing official and not even a leaked picture of some sort, this rumor should be regarded as a not-very-possible thing to become reality. On the other hand, I for one can’t help but dream and the supposed tech specs of this Fujitsu smartphone are out of this world. I mean, Android 4.0 out of the box is cool enough, but there’s talk about a 1.5 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, a 4.6-inch display, a 13.1 MP rear-facing camera, a water-resistant and dust-resistant body and a fingerprint sensor. According to unwiredview, Fujitsu will only be bringing ‘’sample units’’ of this new smartphone to MWC and a release is a question of a distant future, but heck, if the gadget proves to be real, I am willing to wait for it for as long as it takes (well, not quite, but you get the picture).

Verizon experiencing another nationwide 4G LTE outage

Of course Verizon would have another nationwide outage the day after I gave them a glowing endorsement . This morning we started receiving multiple reports from all over that users were experiencing problems with their Verizon 4G LTE data connection. This problem was confirmed by VZBuzz who received a tip from a network technician that failures were occuring. Verizon has recently reported some growing pains as they add more devices to their expanding 4G LTE network. Recent downtimes include December 7th and December 28th .
